  • TKD Sports and Health Foundation was brought in to manage and reorganize the Florida State Sport Taekwondo Association in late 2018 and we managed and operated the 2019 Florida State Championship and Team Trial for USATKD. We had to deal with a lot of political issues from the previous management organization, but we were able to successfully run and manage the 2019 event.
  • TKDSHF during 2018 created the Florida Sport Taekwondo Federation as a nonprofit organization under the IRS Code 501-c3 and was approved in March 2019 of our IRS status of a Public Charity.
  • In 2019 we held several Training events for the Athletes in the state of Florida and started initiating our plan of having several Athlete Training Camps throughout the State so we can assist Athletes to attend by having these training camps in different areas of the State. Such as Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, Largo, and Ocala areas.
  • In Feb 2020 we attended the 2020 US Taekwondo Open in Orlando FL at Disney’s ESPN Center a G-level international Qualifying event. Our Full Team was in Attendance and wearing all the uniforms and equipment gifted to them By the donations from the Moran Family Foundation. We had Poomsae Team had 11 members and 8 members of the Poomsae Tam made the Final 8 and 4 Medaled and our Sparring Team had 15 Members and 12 made the final 8 and 6 Medaled
  • We scheduled and set up for the 2020 Florida State Championship but due to COVID-19, we had to cancel the event and most of the Events within 2020.
  • COVID was a tragedy for all, but we were able to turn this event into a learning and growing situation. We were able to partner with Palm Beach & Polk Counties as well as the United Way of the Palm Beaches. The United Way of the Palm Beaches donated all the Safety, Cleaning, disinfection, and protective equipment we needed for our 2021 FST International Open and State Team Trial.
  • We successfully held our Annual event in March 2021 in Winter Haven Florida as the 1st in Person Taekwondo Event in the USA. Also, we can state that there was not one COVID case reported from that event. We had over 300 participants and close to 700 total people in attendance at the event.
  • Since our Event in March, we have gotten back to Sponsoring our Training Events and so far, this year we have Sponsored 6 Training Camps with 2 of these Camps having over 100 Athletes in Attendance and 2 Referee Clinics.
  • We currently have both our State Teams together and Training and Competing. We have Sponsored 14 Athletes to attend the USA Nationals and the USA Grand Slam Team Trials.
  • This program is funded with donations from individuals and local businesses. We are planning to apply for grants and/or corporate sponsorships.
